3D Printing (or Additive Manufacturing to give it its proper name) has been all over the media for the past few years. With claims that it will revolutionise manufacturing and that we’ll soon all have 3D printers in our homes, we’ll explore the world of 3D printing and separate the myths from reality.

Dr James Wingham from Manchester Metropolitan University will introduce some of the wide range of technologies that 3D printing encompasses, looking at what they can do, how they work, and whether they are actually likely to be the future of manufacturing.
